Before explaining how to link the screens of your App, first we will try to understand the meanings of “Link”.
A link is a connection between two screens to bring the user to another screen.
The link is handy because it allows us to create ad hoc pages and link them with a content. For example, a Recipe App has a page with a number of dishes and, by clicking on the one that interests us, we are lead to the page that explains ingredients and cooking procedures.
This makes the App easier to navigate and allows us to guide the visitor within each space in which we want to lead them.
In Mobincube we can anchor a screen to an image element, text, table, cell or to a video element.
In this way, linking pages to each other it will allow us to visit all the screens of the app. If a screen is not linked to another screen, this will be disconnected and isolated from the other screens of the app and we won’t access it.
How to link the different pages of an App ?
As already mentioned, to ensure that all screens of the App are connected to each other, we need to insert elements ( text, images, tables) in a screen to which we assign a simple action: "Go to the Screen" and following this we have to indicate which screen to open, when we click on that element.
It is really important to know how to implement and organize buttons link in the App, in order to assure the user an intuitive and easy navigation experience in our App.
At the same time it is important to not abuse the use of the links because we could build an app too complex and unintuitive . A good rule, for example, is to place a navigation bar on all the screens of the App which contains several icons, and each one is linked to a specific screen of the App. From this main screen we can then access the others and enter the links we want, and that will help us to access the screens that we want to show .
Another tip is to put a navigation bar on each screen which contains an icon that, when clicked, always leads us back to the main screen , usually called "Home" , to help those who "lose" in the screens of the App to come back always to the main screen.
Once we have created our App, we can check if all the pages are linked together by clicking on the “Screen Tree”, which shows us the structure of the app and tells us if all the screens are linked to each other and if there are some which are still disconnected from the rest.
