At WWDC 2016, Apple announced the obligation of using the ATS (App Transport Security) that is included in iOS9. Although the limit date was for the end of 2016, Apple extended it without an exact date, but at any time they could begin to apply that requirement in the review of acceptance in the App Store.
What does this mean for our apps? All the remote connections from the app to the exterior should be secured through HTTPS with TLS 1.2, specifically in the Web Views and if you load remote content as images, texts and databases.
